Name - Pedro Calungsod Born – 21 st July, 1654 Died - 2 nd April, 1672 Veneration – Catholic Church Beatified - 5 th March, 2000 Canonised – 21 st October 21, 2012 Feast – 2 nd April Patronage – Filipino youth, Catechumens, altar boys, the Philippines, overseas Filipino workers, Guam, Cebuanos, Visayans, Archdiocese of Cebu. Attributes- Martyr’s palm, spear, bolo, Catechism book, Rosary, Christogram, Crucifix. St Pedro Calungsod was 13 when he joined a group of Spanish missionaries as a sacristan and missionary catechist.
