Name - Paul Miki

Born – 1562, Tounucumada, Japan

Died – 5th  February, 1597 (Crucified)

Veneration – Roman Catholic Church and Anglican Communion

Beatified – 14th September 1627 by Pope Urban VIII

Canonised - 8th June 1862 by Pope Pius IX

Feast – 6th February

Patronage – Japan

Part of the twenty-six martyrs of Japan all of whom were executed by crucifixion in Nagasaki. Sang the Te Deum while forced to March to Nagasaki from Kyoto (600 miles). Preached last sermon while on the cross and forgave his executioners.
