Submission guidelines.
Format – A Word document (doc or. docx) with English (UK)
spellings. The font should be Times New Roman, 12 Point and single-spaced.
Please send us an author’s biography not
exceeding 50 words including your contact details and picture. If you wish to
remain anonymous we will be happy to oblige.
Original and unpublished media will be
preferred. In the event of your work being accepted for publication elsewhere,
please do inform us. Authors are welcome to link to these articles in their
personal blogs and websites. We will promote all work on social media including Facebook, Twitter, and
similar platforms
We acknowledge that terminology is difficult to keep up with as it is
rapidly changing, however we would like to use positive terms wherever
possible. Derogatory terms to describe people will not be allowed. Any material that disrespects human dignity or
offends people on the basis of class, gender, sexual and gender identities or
disabilities will be rejected. We also reserve the right to choose and
accordingly edit any submission that does not meet its standards. We also
reserve the right to add editor’s note to any post to contextualise it for our
audience.
Articles: This section explores issues in depth, personal
anecdotes, and nuanced pieces of writing relating to an aspect of race and
Anglicanism will be published. We prefer original writing and personal
viewpoints. Word limit 800 – 3000 words.
Reviews
The section has reviews of books new as well
as older books including those that are considered to be classics. We also
publish reviews of poetry, exhibitions, events and prefer to review books by
emerging writers and smaller publications.
Word Limit: 800 – 1200 words.
Video
Page: a collection of
video interviews, short documentaries or thematic short films.
Word Limit: The
video should be accompanied by a short note of 50 – 200 words. Format: Video –
mpeg/mp4 format, upload your video on YouTube and share the link with us or you
can submit videos compressed for YouTube.
Art
Work: a display of
artwork, photographs, cartoons etc.
A maximum of 5 photographs will be accepted
in the case of visual art. Minimum Resolution: 1200 x 1800 pixels; size should
not exceed 5 MB (megabytes).
Word Limit: A short note of 50 – 200 words
describing the context.
Format: visual art in .jpeg, pdf and tiff files
We might not be able to respond to your
submissions right away. We will try to respond between four weeks and six
weeks. We reserve the right to
decline submissions or to suggest changes before publishing them.
