Name – Cyricus and Julitta

Died - 304 AD

Veneration - Assyrian Church of the East,  Eastern Catholic Churches, Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church and Oriental Orthodox Church

Feast – 16th June, 15th July  (Eastern Orthodox Church)

Patronage – Prayed to for family happiness, and the restoring to health of sick children.

Attributes- From the story involving Charlemagne, Cyricus is depicted as a naked child riding on a wild boar.



According to one version Julitta and her three-year-old son Cyricus had fled to Tarsus and when identified as Christians.  Julitta told the governor that her three-year-old son could not accept his religion, whereupon Cyricus testified to his faith, and mother and child were tortured before being decapitated.
